Below, you will find a small sample of the content I created to modernize WVUA 23's presence on the internet. You will see that I often stress two qualities: efficacy and creativity. 
Simply put, social media was used to push messages out before I joined. I'm proud of the work my team and I put in to truly innovate the online potential this brand can have in helping its audience get the information it needs.

COVID-19 hit local businesses hard, so we began a webpage that allowed them to publicly announce their plans for free on our website. I designed this graphic for posts and stories and included links to the webpage so that these businesses could easily add their information.

Staying ahead of social media trends (when appropriate) is something that I took immense pride in for innovating WVUA 23's online presence. One of our journalists, Chelsea, is the soul of our team. Also a big Dolly fan, it only made sense to feature her in the early 2020 social media trend of "Get you a woman who can do it all."

Often our professional videography team was busy shooting live news so I was left to use what we already had to make content. For #NationalRetroDay, I used footage from well before I enrolled at Alabama and made a cheeky "vintage" video of an old newscast.

Black History Month is a theme that unfortunately can often be mistook merely as a marketing tool for companies to score cheap positivity points. We interviewed Black historical figures in Tuscaloosa to discuss their roles in the Civil Rights Movement from a local perspective. I promoted this series by amplifying their stories and using imagery directly from their sessions.
